E41 ECM Upgrade Kit

The HP Tuners E41 upgrade cable (M8 HPTNET Cable) is used to safely upgrade the GM E41 ECM in 2017-2023 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 6.6L Duramax trucks.

Purpose and Function

The E41 upgrade cable is an essential component of the GM E41 ECM Upgrade Kit. It allows your MPVI2+, MPVI3, or MPVI4 device to communicate with the ECM during the upgrade process, enabling read, write, and special functions in VCM Suite software without removing the ECM from the vehicle. The cable ensures seamless communication and protects the ECM during the upgrade procedure.

Installation Overview

1. Prepare VCM Suite: Download and install the latest VCM Suite BETA on a compatible computer.
2. Connect the Cable: Attach the gray M8 HPTNET cable to your MPVI device and the upgrade box.
3. Battery and Fuse Preparation: Open the hood, disconnect the battery, and remove the ECM power fuse from the under-hood fuse box. For 2017-2019 models, this is fuse #57 (15A ECM/TCM). For 2020-2023 models, use fuse #78 (15A ECM-only) and ensure proper polarity when installing the cable fuse plug.
4. Perform Upgrade: Follow VCM Suite prompts to complete the ECM upgrade. Do not drive the vehicle with the upgrade cable installed.
5. Completion: Once the upgrade is finished, uninstall the cable and reinstall any removed fuses
